Using Modern Media Platforms to Do Good

22 Oct

As a media company, people turn to us when they need help in promoting their products and/or their services. Depending on their type, we create content that is the most suitable, be it a website, a blog, a promotional video or an app. Our dedicated team of highly skilled marketing professionals is there to fulfill the demands of our clients.

We tend to think that there are no limits to one’s imagination, and that’s how we approach everything we do. No limits, just pure creativity and application of our ideas, skills and knowledge. We pride ourselves on finding a way to promote just about anything, especially if it’s for a good cause.

One type of project we pay special attention to is the one which has the goal of reaching a large number of people, for the purpose of helping them with their problems, or having their voice heard. Electronic media has the power to do that and we take pride in the fact that we use some of that power to do good

Recently, one of the clients came to us with the idea of starting up a number of websites, each one dedicated to a certain profession. All those professions would have these things in common:

  • Dedicated to helping people directly
  • Underpaid
  • Under-appreciated

Thankless jobs, you might say. And, from a certain point of view, they are. When was the last time a job well done by a nurse or a teacher was appreciated? Or millions of people working physically demanding jobs? Miners, diggers, drivers, you name it. Just look at this website covering the salaries of medical assistants in the U.S. – I was shocked to see how low the wages were for such a dedicated career.

Unfortunately, too many people are not earning what they should be – compared to the actual job they do.

Needless to say, we found our client’s idea refreshing, and we dove right into it. First and foremost, the content on these websites needed to be something special, as it had to come from an honest place and connect with people on an emotional level.

We also figured that a picture is worth a thousand words, so we contacted several photographers that we have collaborated with previously. They would go out and photograph nurses, teachers, workers, police officers and many others, doing their day jobs and capturing the experience though a series of images. This was necessary, because stock photography was out of the question. We needed a more personal approach, and not something distant and generic.

We interviewed the people, and they shared their personal stories and experiences with us. You can check out this interview we did with a RN – Registered Nurse talking about nursing salaries and how they can vary widely across the country.  And finally, we needed to package all of that in way that would be visible to search engines, because this type of content deserves to be read by as much people as possible. We also created presence on social networks and YouTube.

The entire project is nearing its final stage and we can tell you, without being biased, that it is absolutely fantastic. Everyone in our company is extremely proud of what we have done. Hopefully, this message will reach some people who are in a position to help, either financially, or in some other way, because these people are the unsung heroes.
